We made it. One month of sugar detox is finally over. Was it worth doing it?
We do not have one answer but see the pros and cons of the entire project …
+ Fruit and candies are much sweeter than before.
+ After eating something sweet we fell need for meat (ham, bacon…), because the body already feels a different kind of hunger (original hunger).
+ We have a list of things that we can eat, things that can replace food we shouldn’t eat. We know how to make healthy chocolate, ice cream without sugar and other stuff. Now everything will be „legal” 🙂
+ We got to know the unknown side of our personalities – our brains were fighting for something sweet, that a great experience 🙂
+ Wine does not taste good. Really. We are able to enjoy a glass or two and only with plenty of water. So it was also an alcoholic detox 😉
+ Strength and endurance remained unchanged – we trained as before, but had to start training harder, but more on that below
+ At the end: the body. That’s what happened with our bodies is unimaginable. And it is not about weight, because here declines are not large and cannot be our goal, but our bellies never looked so good, but pushed into the mass of fat smile emoticon Charles beat personal record in eating sausages and bacon, and the belly other than eating tons of Oreo smile emoticon
The dark side sugar detox:
– We thought that after it we will never feel need for sweets, but we still like chocolate and other stuff :-),
– There were really difficult moments for our heads – bad moods, lack of joy from anything … It was the most difficult,
– There were few days when it was hard to do a workout,
– It was difficult to participate in events, birthdays and all kinds of meetings because there was a lot of delicious food and we couldn’t eat it,
